I'm Brandon H. Thomas, a Brooklyn-based Director and Director of Photography specializing in narrative shorts, documentary, music videos and podcast production.

Since 2024, I've written, directed, and shot a run of independent short films — including Two Brothers, Black Ribbon, Lunch Date at the End of the World, and Protocol Breach — along with the mockumentary Back in Blackwell and music videos like Dreamboat. My work has also taken me behind the camera for WNYC, live event coverage, and a Radiolab segment at the American Museum of Natural History. Before stepping into directing and DP work full-time, I spent years on professional sets and live productions — as a Stage Manager and Field Producer for high-profile podcasts and broadcasts, and as a Production Assistant on network television including Law & Order: SVU and The Gilded Age.

Outside of set life, I'm a U.S. Air Force veteran, an Emerson College film grad, and someone who genuinely can't sit still on a day off. I'm usually either building something with my hands or figuring out the next story I want to shoot.
